Letter in Support of Broadband Internet Access for Captree Island
Please support Captree Island by writing to request their inclusion in plans to offer broadband internet access to the Barrier Beaches. Simply copy and paste the text below into your own document, print it out, sign it, and mail it to Altice as soon as possible. If you wish, you may also write your own letter stressing the importance of acquiring reliable, high-speed internet for all our residents and to install such a system with all deliberate speed. Also, feel free to copy NYS Senator Phil Boyle with your letter at his local office: 69 West Main Street, Bay Shore, NY 11706. Thank you for supporting your neighbors.

Re: Barrier Beach High Speed Internet / Broadband 4 All Program
Dear Mr. Ahouse,
As a resident of one of six Babylon Barrier beach communities, I was excited to learn of Altice’s award of over one million dollars in the NYS Broadband-4-All grant program to bring high speed broadband to our unserved area.
I was, however, extremely disappointed to learn that Captree Island will not be receiving this badly needed infrastructure improvement.
Please take advantage of the opportunity to receive additional funding by applying to the third and final funding under Phase 3 of the New NY Broadband Program.
We also have learned that under the best circumstances, the installation to the initial communities would not be serviceable until 2019. Please do whatever is necessary to move such an installation ahead with all deliberate speed.
